Musselburgh Art Club is looking for new members

Musselburgh Art Club draws membership from Midlothian and Edinburgh, as well as Musselburgh and East Lothian. Members regularly exhibit at Dalkeith Arts' Open Exhibitions and are some are members of Dalkeith Arts.

Their Chairman, Kenny Taylor (from Bonnyrigg, and a long-term member of Dalkeith Arts) has asked us to post the following:

Welcome to the Musselburgh Art Club
The Club was started in 1969 and has its own leased premises at 47c Bridge Street, Musselburgh ( opposite the main entrance to Brunton Hall ). Members are issued with their own key which allows access 7 days a week. There is no tuition but we do organise workshops with professional artists and we have an extensive library of art books and DVDs.
Currently membership for the year ( October to September ) is £85. A new member pays the rate pro rata, and a trial period of up to three weeks is offered to potential new members. We are responsible for rent to East Lothian Council and utility bills etc.
Anyone intending to visit is best to have a prearranged time so that the premises will be open. A warm welcome is guaranteed. Some materials are available for visitors to use.
The Club holds its annual exhibition the first week in August at the Musselburgh Old Town Hall ( opposite Luca's cafe ). It also has hanging space in the Brunton Hall and paintings can be viewed there by asking at the ticket desk. We also have paintings for sale at the Tide Cafe on the promenade Portobello and more recently the new NHS surgery premises on the old Tesco site in Musselburgh.
We are presently looking for new members. Please contact me if you have any queries, and we look forward to meeting you.
